Mexico is one of the few countries that's been reliably open to tourists, and KLM's routes work from all over the UK...
Even though we've had some good news on travel, this Cancun deal has great odds for a trip anytime soon without too much faff.

Mexico is one of the few countries that's been reliably open to tourists, and KLM's routes work from all over the UK with plenty of cabin bag space to make do without lugging around a big bag. Since fares are likely to go up as these winter high season dates get closer, this might be the best opportunity for a deal - especially outside of London.

Keep in mind that the hallowed American Spring Break tends to run through March into April, so either avoid that period or stay in a quieter town like Akumal. We're pretty confident ancient Mayan ruins and snorkelling in cenotes are more fun without the crowds.
COVID-related info: KLM are waiving change fees on all new bookings and offer refundable vouchers for travel planned this year if you change your mind. Travel to Mexico is currently allowed with a completed health questionnaire. There are no testing requirements in place at the moment.

1. Head to Google Flights and use their handy calendar tool to find the best travel dates for your route, by locating the dates with the lowest fares (those highlighted in green). If you prefer to book directly, then follow the link to the airline website and book.

2. To get the lowest possible fares (those listed above), head over to Skyscanner, re-enter your itinerary and book with an online travel agent (OTA). You can read more about booking with OTAs here.

Note: Airlines do tend to offer more flexibility for flight changes, so if you're at all worried about having to move your booking later down the line we recommend spending a little extra to book directly with the airline.
