After you land...

It's a really walkable city, with lots of old wooden buildings, art and craft shops and cute cobblestone streets.
It's VERY wet. Like wetter than Scots are prepared for (coming from a Scot, you know it's real). You'll want to bring your really good waterproofs, not the ones that leak at the seams — we all have 'em!
Skip a super pricey fjord tour and take the public ferry from Bergen to Flåm. It used to be used by commuters, but now it's mostly tourists, so the captain tells you about the sights along the way. It goes via waterfalls, cute old towns, and along the Sognefjord, which is the longest and deepest fjord in Norway. Keep in mind this one only runs between April-October though.
Once in Flåm, go for a ramble, visit the brewery, and take the famous Flåm railway up to Myrdal at the top of the top of the fjord. It's cool, but honestly the views from the connecting train back to Bergen are even more impressive.

Finding trips

Step

1. Start finding these trips using Widerøe's sale page, through the blue button below.

Scroll down to the very bottom until you see the “Language & currency” button, and select pounds.

Here, the orange colour signifies the cheapest prices — we know it looks like a huge number, but once you select your chosen travel dates and click the green “Next” button, you'll be able to see the price adjust to what we've listed above and scroll through surrounding dates with an accurate price.
