How much is a trip to Italy?

That’s the million-dollar question! Luckily, since the country’s airports are well serviced by lots of airlines and routes from all over the world, cheap flights to Italy don’t always have to be hard to come by.

We’ve spotted lots of bargain flights to Italy over the years, like £46 return to the Amalfi Coast, €34 return to Verona, and $377 round trip to Rome. Of course, peak travel periods such as Christmas, New Year, and summer are likely to make the prices a little higher than usual. But with a warm Mediterranean climate and pizza all year round, every day is the best time to travel to Italy.

What’s the cheapest airport to fly into Italy?

When planning a trip to Rome, it’s quite easy to know you just want cheap flights to Rome. But if you’re looking for somewhere a little different, here’s where to start:

  • For flights to Lake Como, keep an eye out for any of Milan’s airports, which are Malpensa (MXP), Linate (LIN) or nearby Bergamo (BGY). Thankfully, these aren’t too rare to spot, so you’ll be able to fly and then jump on a train or drive up to the beautiful lakes.

  • For flights to Sardinia, this island has three airports: Alghero (AHO), Cagliari (CAG), and Olbia (OLB). While we see flights to Sardinia from UK & Europe quite often, they’re much harder to spot from the USA & Canada. So you might want to look for some cheap flights to Rome instead, and catch a quick connection.

  • For flights to Tuscany, you’ve got a choice of jumping on any cheap flights to Florence (FLR), Pisa (PSA), or Bologna (BLQ). Luckily, these spots come up quite often, too!

Thank for the great deal. Can't wait to arrive in Italy.

that we booked our flights to Venice for early June, so thanks a lot for the tip! Keep doing what you do, it's awesome and we love your way of communicating.

Thanks owed to Jack for some great cheap flights to Venice! Definitely softened the blow of the cost of everything else there 😂 We’re just back from an incredible 6 days away

Grabbed many deals, typically 50% off what I would have paid if I wasn't looking myself. It's great to remain flexible with travel, but even got deals cheaper in peak times. Thanks Jack and team l. Premium membership is a god send, booked LHR to Bologna for £70 return later next year. Amazing.

Thanks for the heads up
