Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

Where Jack's Flight Club promotes a sweepstake, giveaway or prize draw (“Prize Draw”) it will be subject to these Prize Draw Terms and Conditions. We may offer prize draws throughout the year either as regular promotions or specific one-off promotions. Your participation in any prize draw promotion we offer constitutes your full and unconditional acceptance of, and agreement to be legally bound by, these terms and as well as any draw-specific terms (detailed below in the Prize Draw Archive).

PRIZE DRAW SPONSOR

1.1. The “Sponsor” is JFC Travel Group Co., 2140 South Dupont Highway, Camden, Kent, Delaware, 19934, USA (“Jack’s Flight Club”, “We”, or “Us”), a Delaware corporation and a majority-owned but independently operated subsidiary of Travelzoo.

PRIZE DRAW PERIOD

2.1. One-off Prize Draws will run from their start date until the notified closing date, which will be shown on the entry page or promotion details (the “One-off Prize Draw Period”).

2.2. Regular Prize Draws will take place within 3 days of the end of a calendar month, with entrants selected from those joining or taking the required actions during the preceding calendar month (the “Regular Prize Draw Period” and together with the “One-off Prize Draw Period, the “Prize Draw Periods”)).

2.3. Dates and times of Prize Draw Periods will be determined by the UTC timezone.

ELIGIBILITY

3.1. Prize Draws are open to anyone aged 18 years or over at the time of entry who is: a legal resident of the United Kingdom, the contiguous United States Or a European Union member state (unless prohibited by applicable local law).

3.2. Prize Draws are not open to employees of Jack’s Flight Club, it’s parent or affiliated companies or agents, advertising or promotion agencies, their families or anyone else associated with the prize draw promotion.

3.3. You must be the authorised account holder and maintain an active email address mailbox capable of receiving email throughout the Prize Draw Period and up to 30 days after.

3.4. Entries on behalf of another person or made by automated means will not be accepted.

HOW TO ENTER

4.1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. To participate in a Regular Prize Draw promotion you must, during the Prize Draw Period register for free or have an active account with Jack’s Flight Club. For One-off Prize Draws you must register for free or have an active account with Jack’s Flight Club and perform the entry requirements specified in the prize draw details or email [email protected] with the name of the draw in the subject line and include your full name, address and telephone number.

4.2. For a One-off Prize Draw, you will receive one (1) entry per person during the Prize Draw Period.

4.3. For Regular Prize Draws, you will receive one (1) entry per person during the Prize Draw Period for creating or maintaining your Jack’s Flight Club account and may receive additional entries according to the entry requirements or as part of the JFC Member rewards programme.

JFC MEMBER REWARDS

5.1. Jack’s Flight Club Members may at the Sponsor’s discretion be awarded or earn additional entries (“Golden Tickets”) to Regular or One-off Prize Draws as part of the JFC rewards programme for performing certain actions during their membership or Prize Draw Period e.g. completing their profile, sending a postcard, contributing to community discussions, upgrading or renewing a paid membership subscription.

5.2. Golden Tickets have no cash value but may also be offered as prizes in One-off or Regular Prize Draws.

ENTRY SPECIFICATIONS

6.1. If the entry requirements include performing an action on social media, your action must be publicly accessible and not unlisted or in a private account and remain accessible for a period of 30 days after the end of the Prize Draw Period for verification. By performing the action on social media, entrants agree to the social media network’s Terms of Use and warrant their action does not contravene them. Our Prize Draws are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any social media network.

6.2. If we ask for a text post, photographs or other media as a condition of entry (“Your Content”), Your Content must comply with the following specifications:

6.2.1. If Your Content includes one or more recognisable persons, you need to make sure that you can demonstrate that such persons have granted all the necessary permissions in writing for their image to be submitted, used and published in any way by the Sponsor under these Prize Draw Rules (please note, it is the responsibility of the participant to ensure that the relevant permission has been sought and model release forms have been satisfactorily completed);

6.2.2. be your original creation, and be a photograph taken solely by you or you feature in the photo. Reproducing, modifying, enhancing or altering a third party's pre-existing work does not qualify as your original creation;

6.2.3. not violate the rights of any third party, including, but not limited to copyright, privacy rights, proprietary rights, intellectual property rights or personal rights.

6.2.4. not have been published previously, used commercially, submitted to another competition or Prize Draw, or won any other award;

6.2.5. be in “good taste” and in keeping with the Sponsor’s brand image and must not contain nudity, be explicit, offensive, obscene, or profane, and must not be derogatory toward any ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, profession, or age group, or promote any activities that may be illegal, unsafe or dangerous, as determined by the Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion;

6.2.6. not defame, misrepresent or contain disparaging remarks about any people, brands, products or companies, including but not limited to, the Sponsor or its products and services; not include images of a known celebrity, famous or well-known person or any image which violates the right of privacy or publicity of any person; not include images or references to minors, unless the parent/adult legal guardian of such minor has provided express consent; not be false, inaccurate or misleading; not violate any law or regulation; not be libellous, threatening or harassing; not instigate others to commit illegal activities or violate human rights; and not contain any viruses, worms, or other interfering computer programming.

6.2.7. You must warrant that Your Content meets the specifications, set out in this clause. The Sponsor reserves the right to deem ineligible and exclude any Content that the Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion, determines does not meet the specifications or entry requirements. Your right to submit Your Content must not be restricted in any way. You must be able to provide legal releases for use of Your Content by the Sponsor in any format, and materials related to the Prize Draw, including in relation to any third party’s name, image, likenesses or work included in Content.

6.3. By submitting an entry, you acknowledge that your entry (including any submitted content or other materials, if applicable) may be posted on the sponsor’s social media channels, proprietary websites, blogs, and/or newsletters or other email products, where it may be viewed, shared and commented on by the sponsor and the general public.

DRAW AND WINNER SELECTION

7.1. After the Prize Draw Period, a list of eligible entrants will be compiled and the winner will be selected at random using a computerised randomiser process. The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries.

7.2. Before being declared a winner: The entrant(s) selected will be contacted by the Sponsor via their given email address or via direct message to the potential winner’s social media account (the “Initial Notification”) and notified that they are eligible to win. To begin the prize claim process, the potential winner must respond as instructed to the Initial Notification with his/her full name, address and email address within two (2) working days of the Initial Notification. Proof of identity and address may be required.

7.3. Within three (3) working days of confirmation of the information received from the potential winner in response to Initial Notification, such potential winner will receive a second notification (the “Second Notification”) via email from the Sponsor. The Sponsor, at its discretion, reserves the right to require the potential winner to sign and return, within five (5) days of the Second Notification, a declaration of eligibility, a liability/publicity release and a license agreement (together, the "Affidavit"). The selected entrant(s) must execute and return the Affidavit within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt. Non-compliance with this period may result in disqualification.

7.4. If the selected entrant: (i) does not reply to the Initial Notification with the required information and within the specified period or there is a return of any prior notification as undeliverable; or (ii) fails to return the Affidavit, if required, within the specified time, then they will be disqualified and will forfeit the prize, and the Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate entrant from among the remaining eligible entries.

PRIZES

8.1. Prizes will only be awarded to the person who is the owner of the e-mail address or social media handle that submitted the Entry.

8.2. The prize(s) are as specified at the point of entry or in the Prize Draw Archive below.

8.3. Prizes do not include, and the Sponsor will not pay for, any other incidental expenses on or relating to the use of the prize.

8.4. The prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or convertible to cash. No substitutions except at the Sponsor’s option. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize or a prize component with one of equal or greater value, including without limitation, but solely in the Sponsor’s discretion, a cash award. All expenses and taxes related to the acceptance or use of the prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

8.5. Where flights are offered as a prize, winners must book and pay for their flights in their own name for security purposes and submit a copy of their booking receipt, whereupon the Sponsor will rebate the cost of the flight or the prize value, whichever is lower.

8.6. If a cash payment or rebate for flights is offered, it will only be made by bank transfer or PayPal so winners must have an active account in good standing to receive any payments. Proof of identity may be required. If payments require converting to the winner’s local currency, the exchange rate will be as available through the Sponsor’s banking services at the time of transfer.

GENERAL

9.1. By entering a Prize Draw promotion, each entrant agrees to abide by these Prize Draw Rules and any applicable applicable laws. Entries are Void where prohibited by law. The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Prize Draw are final and binding on all entrants.

9.2. The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, withdraw or amend a Prize Draw in any way, without prior notice or obligation, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor that interferes with the proper conduct of the Prize Draw as contemplated by these Prize Draw Rules.

9.3. The Sponsor reserves the right, in their sole and absolute discretion and at any time, to modify, edit or disqualify any Entry if a complaint is received with respect to the Entry, if the Entry does not comply with these Prize Draw Rules, is suspected to be a result of automation rather than explicit human action, fraudulent or for any other reason. All Entries are subject to verification at any time and for any reason.

9.4. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity, address and/or eligibility. Failure to provide such proof to the satisfaction of the Sponsor in a timely manner may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.

9.5. By entering a Prize Draw and submitting an Entry, each entrant: (i) grants to the Sponsor a non-exclusive license to publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit or otherwise use their name (if they win) and/or submission, in whole or in part, for advertising or promoting the Prize Draw or for any other reason; and (ii) agrees to release and hold harmless the Prize Draw parties and each of their respective agents, employees, directors, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims that relate in any way to the submission.

9.6. The Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies will not be liable for any failure of the website or technical malfunction during a Prize Draw period or for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading any material in the Prize Draw. Nothing in these Prize Draw Rules shall exclude the liability of the Sponsor for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.

9.7. Any disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Prize Draw or any prize awarded will be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Except where prohibited, the parties hereby consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the English courts in any action to enforce (or otherwise relating to) these Prize Draw Rules or relating to this Prize Draw.

9.8. Unless agreed otherwise, the personal information you are providing when entering this Prize Draw will be used only for the purpose of administering this prize draw. All collection and use of your personal data in connection with this Prize Draw will be done in compliance with applicable data protection legislation and in accordance with our Privacy and Cookies Policy.

9.9. For a written confirmation of the winner, send a self-addressed envelope within 30 days after the Prize Draw Period to: Jack’s Flight Club [Name of Prize Draw] Prize Draw Rules Request, c/o Travelzoo (Europe) Limited, Shaftesbury House, 151 Shaftesbury Ave, London WC2H 8AL. Non-winning entrants will not be notified.

"May Flights For Two". Prize Draw Period: 23/05/2023 - 30/05/2023

Additional terms: May Flights For Two— The prize draw starts on 23/05/2023 and ends on 30/05/2023. Entries outside this period will not be considered. Entry is automatic upon upgrading to Jack's Flight Club Premium only through this upgrade page. Premium members will receive 9 entries in the draw. No purchase necessary - see full terms for details of how to enter for free. The prize is a travel fund worth £750 to spend on flights. The winner can send us your proof of flights purchase, and we'll reimburse you up to the value of £750. The winner will be selected and notified on 02/06/2023.

"UK/EU: Jet Hustle Black Friday Early Bird". Prize Draw Period: 14/11/2023 - 23/11/2023 23:59

Additional terms and prize details: The Prize Draw will take place on 26th February 2024. There are 3 prizes to be awarded of a pair of seats on a private jet leg supplied by JetHustle, departing London-based airports only, which must be redeemed within 60 days of winning and with a minimum of 7 days notice. Open to UK/EU residents only. Onboard catering and bar is included, but no other expenses are covered. To be eligible, Members must upgrade during the Prize Draw Period and remain a JFC Premium member as of the date of the Prize Draw. To win a prize you must be over 18 and have a valid UK or EU passport. By entering the Prize Draw you consent to photos and video being taken during the private jet experience and for your likeness to be used in our marketing, public relations and advertising and being posted on JFC-owned social media channels. "US: Rimowa suitcase + $2000 spending money Black Friday Early Bird". Prize Draw Period: 14/11/2023 - 23/11/2023 23:59.

Additional terms and prize details: Winner selection will take place on 26th February 2024. The prize includes a Rimowa suitcase and $2,000 spending money. The suitcase will be delivered to the winner's address in the United States and the spending money will be sent via bank transfer. Members who upgrade to JFC Premium or mail in an entry during the Sweepstakes Period will receive 1 entry in the Sweepstakes.
